Midweek prayer meetings during summer
The weekly midweek prayer meetings have stopped for summer apart from one scheduled for August 19th.
IMPACT CARRYDUFF:

Monday - Friday
Mornings : Sports Camp, 11am - 12.30pm. For children in P1-P7
Afternoons: Brace for IMPACT, 2.30-4..00pm. For children & young people in P1 - Year 14
Evenings : The Late Show, 7-9pm. For young people in Year 8 - Year 14
Wednesday 19th Aug
The BIG Quiz, for everyone of all ages. 7pm. Come with a team or come along and join a team.
Saturday 22nd Aug
Carryduff Presbyterian Church, Community Fun Day.
11am - 2pm
For everyone of all ages.
On Saturday 22nd August, we will be having our Community Fun Day, and over the past 2 years, we have had an organisations showcase. We will be doing this again and all organisations are welcome to participate and promote their organisation and invite/encourage visitors to come along. If your organisation would like to be involved and is able to come along, please let Ian or Jemma know.
IMPACT HELP NEEDED:
We are very fortunate to have a team of young people and young adults joining together to help lead the week of outreach. As in previous years, Rosemary is heading up the catering side of things. If anyone is able to help make a dinner or a lunch for one of the days or provide a dessert or sweet treats, please speak to Ian or Rosemary. All help is greatly appreciated.
Thursday 3rd Sept - Registration Night
All Youth & Children's organisations registration night.
Come along and get your child signed up for all of the organisations that they attend throughout the year.
Sunday 6th Sept - Back to School With God
You are invited to attend our Back to School with God Service ay 11.30am. We will be welcoming Rev. John Noble back to fellowship with us for this special all age, family service. We would love you to join us as we think about our local schools, all children and young people and all school staff.
Monday 7th Sept - Women Together
Woman Together’s first meeting after the Summer recess will be held on Monday 7th September. The guest is Tracey Johnston from Killinchy. She is a ceramicist. Tracey will be throwing demonstration and she has won many awards for her creations.
This meeting is for ALL ladies in the congregation.
It would be lovely to see Tracey supported by the ladies in our congregation, their friends and relatives and beyond.

Everyone is invited to join us for a coffee afternoon fundraiser on Saturday 19th Sept from 2-4pm. We are fundraising for our upcoming youth weekend, 2nd - 4th October.
Prayer Points:
Prayer points for July and August 2026
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”- Colossians 4:2
Give praise to God for who He is, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, knowing that He is in control of all things and that, as His children, nothing can separate us from His love.
Thank God for the hard work undertaken and the smooth progress made to date towards filling our vacancy. Pray “without ceasing” that God would lead us to choose the person of His choice.
Pray for those on holiday - that all can return safely, refreshed in body and in mind. We think especially of Rev. Bostock and Ian, our Clerk of Session, Ian, our Secretary, Andy, and our Treasurer, Rodney, and the leaders of our organisations and activities. Pray that, during the holiday season, we can all find time to be with God, in His word and in prayer.
Thank God for Jemma, our Family Worker, for her ideas, organisational skills and the considerable work she undertakes. Pray that He will guide and strengthen her during the busy summer period.
Thank God for the boys and girls who, this year, attended the BB and GB, Breakfast Bible Club, Messy Church, Sunday School and the Holiday Bible Club. Pray that He will grow the gospel seeds that have been planted. Pray that the links with the children and their parents can be strengthened in the months ahead and that the numbers coming to our church services will grow.
Pray for those in our church family who will be part of outreach teams in July and August, including Cameron Avery, Erin Douglas, Robert Johnston, Amy Kagugu, the Lowe brothers, Matthew, Daniel, Joel James and Caleb, their mother, Rosemary, and Kerry Stevenson. Pray for the CSSM, Beach Mission and Exodus teams that they will be part of (See details in ‘Summer Outreach Prayer Cards’ ). Nearer home, pray for the Impact outreach in August (15-22nd). Pray that our young people will be a blessing to others and that their faith will be strengthened.
Continue to pray for those in our church family who have been bereaved in recent months, those who are suffering long-term illnesses, those who are anxious, those who are lonely and those who are feeling down-hearted. Pray that they would know God’s love and comfort and that we would be better able to show we care.
Pray for our governments at Westminster and Stormont - that they will behave with honesty and integrity and have high moral values. Pray that they will govern justly and fairly and for the good of all people. Pray that laws against God’s will would not be passed.
Continue to pray that God will intervene in Ukraine and the Middle East - protecting the innocent and changing the hearts and minds of evil-doers so that violence can be de-escalated and the conflicts ended.
Pray that the gospel message will spread to all nations and that God's name will be honoured and glorified - in our church, our community and throughout the world.

Heating Requests: if you have any hall or church heating requests please contact Sam Whiteside.
Connect: Connect runs every Thursday morning from 10.30am. We provide tea and coffee, scones, games of pool, armchair aerobics, crafts and many other activities. We also like to sit and chat over a coffee. Why not come along and join in? Everyone will be made very welcome. If you require any further information please speak to Heather Campbell or Danny Todd.
