Praise God for who He is, the creator and sustainer of the universe - infinite in power, wisdom, righteousness and love, and worthy of our worship and our obedience.
Thank God for the young adults, who are actively involved in our church as leaders in youth organisations and activities. Thank Him for their abilities and hard work. Pray that they will be encouraged by seeing fruits for their labours. Pray that this Sunday’s evening service conducted by the young adults bible study will bring glory to God and be a blessing to us.
Pray for all young people going on summer outreach whether abroad or at home in Ireland - that God will use them to advance His kingdom and that they will grow in faith. Pray that God will direct on the plans being made and finalised for outreach.
Pray for God’s blessing on this week’s Holiday Bible Club - that the Holy Spirit will help those bringing the gospel message and open the hearts and minds of the children who come. Pray that many children will want to know more about Jesus.
Pray for those known to us who are “suffering” in any way, including through bereavement, illness or illness of a loved one, family fall-outs or problems, loneliness and sadness, anxiety and depression. Pray that they would look to and find comfort in God.
Pray for the men, women and children, who have been intimidated out of their homes in Ballymena and elsewhere in NI - that they would find safety and shelter. Pray for protection for the police officers on duty and that law and order would be restored. Pray for churches working in the area, that Christ’s love would shine through.
Pray for those who have lost loved ones in the Air India plane disaster - that they would be comforted.
Pray for last week’s General Assembly of PCI - that God would direct on the outworkings of decisions taken. Pray that God will give wisdom and strength to our new moderator the Right Reverend Dr Trevor Gribben as he begins his year in office.
Thank God for the freedom to worship that we have and pray that it will continue. Remember our Christian brothers and sisters across the world, who are being persecuted for their faith. Pray that God will comfort them and give them courage.

Christian Aid Week- A Big Thank You! A near-final total of just under £3000 was collected in the Carryduff area in Christian Aid Week (11-17 May). This was a very generous response. We would like to say a “Big Thank You” to all who made donations and returned their envelopes to the Carryduff Pharmacy and Spar (Ballynahinch Road) and to our churches. Special thanks are also due to those, who delivered the envelopes, and to the staff at the Pharmacy and Spar, who helped in receiving them. As always, your donations will be used by Christian Aid to help those facing poverty across the world.
