Men’s Fellowship
Meeting of Men's Fellowship, 2pm in Church Hall. Talk entitled "Ulster-born army commanders" by Mr Brian Johnston.
Saturday 14th November
Catering Team Breakfast
The Catering team have organised a breakfast on Saturday 14th November 09:30 - 11:30 am. This is open for everyone and £10 donation which is going towards church funds. Good Food and Great company, come along.
Prayer Points:
“Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendour of holiness.” Psalm 29 v 1,2
Give praise to God for His everlasting love and care to us, as individuals and as a church family. Pray that we will diligently approach God’s throne of grace, reminding ourselves that it is, ‘in Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him.’ Ephesians 3 v 11,12
Give thanks to God for the opportunity we have been given to meet this Lord’s Day and partake in The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Pray that this will be a time of reflection and thanksgiving for the wonderful Grace of God. May our hearts be glad and our worship joyful.
Thank God for the faithful witness of our church eldership, committee and sub-committees as they have had to lead the church through the challenges of the vacancy. Pray that God will continue to grant them wisdom, direction and strength as we look ahead.
Pray for Jemma and the helpers who lead the Scripture Union in Carryduff Primary School. Ask God to be with them as they prepare the programme. Give thanks for the encouragement of the three children who said they do not have a bible at home. Pray that, as Jemma gives them a bible each, the children and families may read it and use it at home.
Continue to remember in prayer those who are struggling financially, spiritually, mentally, and physically currently. May God grant wisdom and practical support to organisations as they help those in need. Pray that their Christian witness will be a shining light to the nations.
Give thanks for the Harvest Offering and that we can give substantial donations to Mission Aviation Fellowship, PCI Rural Chaplaincy and Christians Against Poverty. Continue to uplift these organisations in prayer.
Considering current political uncertainty in Northern Ireland, continue to pray that our nation will experience a renewing of The Holy Spirit and that those in authority will seek to conduct governance considering God’s Holy Word.

Heating Requests: if you have any hall or church heating requests please contact Sam Whiteside.
Connect: Connect runs every Thursday morning from 10.30am. We provide tea and coffee, scones, games of pool, armchair aerobics, crafts and many other activities. We also like to sit and chat over a coffee. Why not come along and join in? Everyone will be made very welcome. If you require any further information please speak to Heather Campbell or Danny Todd.
Events that are coming up -
All Age Social and Ceilidh
This is an event for everyone of all ages! No matter if you are 1 year old or 100 years old. It will be a great night of fun and fellowship with a great atmosphere. Please do plan to come along to have fun with our church family and enjoy an evening together. We will be welcoming Kingsway Events along to provide the entertainment and run the Ceilidh.
Tickets are £10 for 16+ and £5 for under 16s. This is a Fundraiser for Carryduff Presbyterian Church, so please do support this event. Please speak to Jemma if you would like a ticket.
We will be having some refreshments and sweet treats at the All Age Social and Ceilidh. If anyone would be willing and able to provide anything, it would be greatly appreciated. Please speak to Jemma or sign your name on the sheet in the vestibule.
Ladies Christmas Wreath Making Workshop
We will welcome Courtney from Flowertastic Blooms to run our workshop
We will be making an Artificial Christmas Wreath, with nibbles and fun and fellowship too.
Everyone will be made very welcome, we would love to have you come along.
Cost - £45 per person.

Carryduff Community Christmas
Please save the date of Saturday 5th December 2-5pm. If any organisation or sub-committee would like to decorate a Christmas Tree for our Christmas tree festival please speak to Jemma by Sunday 8th Nov.

This will save time on Sunday mornings & evening having to make too many announcements.
If there is a specific announcement that you would like highlighted, please inform the Clerk, Ian Montgomery, by Saturday lunchtime, either by phoning him on his mobile, ( 07736199171), text message or via email- clerk@carryduffpresbyterian.uk. The Clerk will be making all the announcements and hopefully this help to reduce the time needed to make the necessary announcements.
