  • Youth Club Summer Scheme

Youth Club Summer Scheme Sign up is open!

Youth Club Summer Scheme is running from 22nd-24th July 7-9pm. There will be lots of fun and games, food and a thought spot. All young people who are going into P7 to Upper Sixth will be made very welcome and we would love to have you along. If you can’t come along all 3 evenings, you are still very welcome to come along on the evenings you are available.

Use the booking link to register or speak to Jemma to sign up. Sign up is essential.

  • IMPACT Carryduff

IMPACT Carryduff is fast approaching! There will be lots on offer for the duration of the week for everyone of all ages. We would love to see you along, and please invite friends, family and neighbours. For the events that children and young people can attend, please sign up online beforehand if at all possible.

We are all looking forward this week filled of outreach and evangelism with those in our community. We have a team of 25 people, made up of young adults and young people from a range of different backgrounds, however we would love to have members of our congregation on board and helping us along the way!

Here is how you could get involved from the 16th – 23rd August.

    • 1.      IMPACT Café will run from 18th -22nd August from 11am -1pm. We would love members of our congregation to volunteer and come along to make and serve tea and coffee and biscuits, facilitating the café. We would hope to have 2 volunteers a day. I f you can help in any way with this, please speak to me or Caleb ASAP.

    • 2.      On Saturday 23rd August we will have a Community Fun Day 11am -2pm, much the same as last year. Again, it would be great to have involvement from our Congregation. If you would be able to go on a rota for serving tea and coffee for an hour during these times, that would be great! Please speak to me if you can assist with this.

    • 3.      I am sure you are all aware that the Team will be very busy throughout the week with all that it is going on… And with that they will get rather hungry!

I would like to thank Rosemary Lowe for taking charge of catering for the team throughout the week. However, this isn’t something Rosemary can do on her own. If anyone would be able to provide a dinner dish that can be reheated and a dessert or if you would rather cook a dinner and dessert for the whole team for one of the evenings, it would be greatly appreciated. Please speak to me or Rosemary.

Summer Prayer Points — There will be midweek prayer meetings on 23rd July and 20th August starting at 7.25pm."

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”- Colossians 4:2

  • Give praise to God for who He is, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, knowing that He is in control of all things and that, as His children, nothing can separate us from His love.

  • Pray for those on holiday - that all can return safely, refreshed in body and in mind. We think especially of Rev Smyth, our Clerk of Session, Ian, our Secretary, Andy, and our Treasurer, Rodney, and the leaders of our organisations and activities. Pray that, during the holiday season, we can all find time to be with God, in His word and in prayer.
    - Thank God for Jemma, our Family Worker, for her ideas, organisational skills and hard work. Pray that He will guide and strengthen her during the busy summer period.

  • Thank God for the boys and girls attending the BB and GB, Breakfast Bible Club and Children’s church this year. Pray that He will grow the gospel seeds that have been planted. Pray that the links with the children and their parents can be strengthened in the months ahead and that the numbers coming to our new-look Sunday School and church will grow.

  • Pray for those in our church family who will be part of outreach teams in July and August, including Daniel Butler, Amy Kagugu, Robert Johnston, the Lowe brothers, Matthew, Daniel, Joel James and Caleb, their mother, Rosemary, and Kerry Stevenson. Pray for the CSSM teams in Cranfield, Ballycastle and Ballywalter, and the Beach Mission teams at Tramore, Ardmore and St Ives that they will be part of (Details are available in ‘Summer Update’ booklet ). Nearer home in Carryduff, pray for the Youth club Summer Scheme in July (22-24th) and the Impact outreach in August (16-23rd). Pray that our young people will be a blessing to others and that their faith will be strengthened.

  • Continue to pray for those in our church family who have been bereaved in recent weeks, those who are suffering long-term illnesses, those who are anxious, those who are lonely and those who are feeling down-hearted. Pray that they would know God’s love and comfort and that we would be better able to show that we care.

  • Pray for our governments at Westminster and Stormont - that they will behave with honesty and integrity and have high moral values. Pray that they will govern justly and fairly and for the good of all people. Pray that laws against God’s will would not be passed.

  • Continue to pray that God will intervene in Ukraine and the Middle East - protecting the innocent and changing the hearts and minds of evil-doers so that violence can be de-escalated and the conflicts ended.

  • Pray that the gospel message will spread to all nations and that God's name will be honoured and glorified - in our church, our community and throughout the world.
