Dates for Your Diary / Important Announcements
Sunday 1st February is the Rev. Smyth’s farewell service in Carryduff. Rev. Smyth will conduct and preach his final sermon on that morning as our minister.
It would be great to see a good attendance on that morning not only to say farewell to Rev. Smyth and Mrs Smyth but also to be an encouragement to them. We are also expecting a number of his family, friends and visitors to be in attendance . After the morning service we are having a farewell lunch and there will be some presentations to mark Rev. Smyth's retirement.
Ian Montgomery- Clerk of Session
CPC Youth Club Dates: 7th & 21st February; 7th & 21st March
Friday 24th April: Youth & Young Adults Formal - More details to follow
Prayer Points:
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”- Colossians 4v2.
Praise the Lord for all that He is. Pray that our eyes would be opened so that we would see more of His glory in creation, in His word, in the Gospel and in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Thank God that so many came to pray on our Day of Prayer. Pray that, as a church family, we will understand the importance of seeking God’s help for the months ahead, and that the numbers coming to prayer meetings would increase and not fall away.
Thank God for the long and faithful ministry of Reverend Smyth, and pray that God will bless him in his last working week. Pray that he and Leslie will know how much they are loved and appreciated and that next Sunday’s farewell will be a joyful occasion.
Thank God for the many outsiders coming to our church-associated activities including Parents & Toddlers, Connect, Badminton and Row Z Football. Pray that we are good witnesses for Christ in all that we say and do. Pray that God will awaken their interest in spiritual matters, and that He would “open a door” for the gospel message (Colossians. 4v3)
Continue to remember in prayer those who have been bereaved in recent weeks and months, those who have long-term illnesses, and those who are anxious of late about their health - praying that they would look to and find comfort in God.
Pray for those in authority on the world stage - that they would be humbled before almighty God. Pray that they would behave with honesty and moral integrity and govern justly and for the good all people. Pray that God will bring to nought the plans of evil men.
Pray that God's name will be honoured and glorified - in our church, our community and throughout the world. Pray that His kingdom will come and that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

It may seem early to be organising leaders and helpers however to ensure we are inline with the new regulations set out by Church House and so that everyone can be involved who wants to be, it is best to start now. One of the changes we need to be aware of is that all 16 & 17 year old helpers MUST go through the Access NI process and attend Taking Care Training.
If you are available and willing to be a leader or helper at one of the above please speak to Jemma or put your name on the sign up sheet.
If you have any questions about the above, please speak to Jemma or Heather Montgomery.
Pre Loved Books: Please remember our bookshelves in the halls foyer which are well stocked with a variety of Christian literature.
Please browse and borrow, take to keep or take and give away to friends!
Heating Requests: if you have any hall or church heating requests please contact Sam Whiteside.
Connect: Connect runs every Thursday morning from 10.30am. We provide tea and coffee, scones, games of pool, armchair aerobics, crafts and many other activities. We also like to sit and chat over a coffee. Why not come along and join in? Everyone will be made very welcome. If you require any further information please speak to Heather Campbell or Danny Todd.
