Christian Aid (CA) Week is only 1 week away! As in recent years, CA envelopes will be delivered to many areas of Carryduff and these will NOT be collected! Those receiving an envelope and wishing to make a donation can return their envelope with donation to the Carryduff Pharmacy, Hillsborough Road. We have “deliverers” for many districts of Carryduff but there are still some that are not covered. If you have not helped before and have an hour to spare to deliver (Not Collect!!) envelopes, please add your name and telephone number to the sheets in the vestibule or Hall foyer or contact Danny Todd in the coming week and a suitable district can be arranged. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Danny.

Safeguarding update

Following the update of all PCI Safeguarding Policies and Procedures , it is now compulsory for all leaders to renew their Access NI every 3 years.

In order to have all leaders compliant for September, anyone who has not completed an Access NI Enhanced check within the last 3 years must now do so , or they can no longer lead.

It is the responsibility of the Leader in charge of each organisation to ensure all leaders are compliant.

Training dates should be available from PCI soon and we will inform everyone when we become aware of them.

We will be setting dates in June ( to be confirmed) for interviews and checking of forms etc.

Thanks. Heather M

Prayer Points:

All Prayer Points taken from PCI Let's Pray

1. Moderator | Pray for the meeting of the Church leaders taking place this incoming week. Pray for a spirit of unity and for wisdom as, together, they seek to represent the Church’s view on significant issues in the public square.

2. Answering God’s invitation to worship | ‘Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.’ Psalm 95:6. Ask God to help us approach him in humility, wonder and awe as we worship today.

3. SAT 7, the Middle East & North Africa | As war, conflict and widespread disruption continue in the Middle East region, with a significant and sustained threat to civilian life, pray for SAT-7’s endeavours to connect people across the affected countries through live broadcasts and social media initiatives. Pray for the adaptation of services and content, as and when necessary, not least the launch of a new satellite to reach viewers in places like Iran, currently cut off from existing platforms.

4. Hospitality industry | Give thanks for opportunities to enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal with friends and family in the many establishments across the island of Ireland. Pray for the safety of those working in the food and hospitality industries, and for business owners as they balance rising costs and challenges in recruiting staff.

5. Training in Ministry | Pray for the third-year ministry students as they approach the end of their formal studies, look forward to graduation and anticipate beginning assistantships in congregations full-time. Pray for their families as they adjust to new circumstances. Pray, too, that the students will continue to be life-long learners, even as they will minister to others.

Please refer to prayer points on the PCI website
